A wellness conference for clinicians of color to build community and heal together.
Fri, May 30th & Sat, May 31st 2025 | Virtual Seminar
Sun, Jun 1st 2025 | In-Person Experience (Chicago)
Celebrating Our Identities.
Decolonizing Mental Health.
Redefining Self-Care.
The Embodied in Color Conference is back in 2025 from May 30th (Friday) to June 1st (Sunday). This conference helps to connect Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) mental health professionals, clinicians, and other folks in related fields with embodied experiences that aim at expanding conversations in mental health care.
This year, the conference will consist of 2 parts: a 2-day virtual seminar, followed by a small group in-person experience for clinicians based in Chicago.
Through this conference, we hope to continue to offer an affinity space for healing and wellness. This is an opportunity for BIPOC providers to join in community and share space for experience using healing practices native to multicultural backgrounds. Together, we reclaim our traditional healing methods to decolonize our bodies and minds.

2. The power of collective healing;
3. An increased sense of pride in understanding the contributions of our healing practices.
*We want to recognize the nuance and depths of culture and traditions. We also want to acknowledge that the programming of the conference is not a comprehensive reflection of the diversity and richness of people’s experiences. If you are interested in presenting at next year’s conference, please contact us at hello@embodiedincolor.org
“The sense of community was profound and important for me. Grief as a collective experience was something very validating to see and feel in person from community. Thank you.”
“It was beautiful to be able to be vulnerable amongst faces of color. It was just a really healing event in and of itself.”
